School is in full swing! We are all adjusting and loving the new schedule. It's crazy, but it works, and everyone loves their classes and activities.
Our big news last week was that Gavin tried out and made the U11 Cannons travel lacrosse team! We are so proud of him and the hours of practice he put in leading up to those try-outs, and also how much effort he put into the tryouts. And he is super excited to have another year of travel lax with the Cannons! Yay!
Merritt and Gav are taking diving lessons at Duke. They LOVE it. It gives them a chance to be in the water and learn how to safely do all the stuff that they love to try off the diving boards (and a bunch more!). And the platforms - these boys love the platforms. Here is Gavin jumping off the 5 meter.
Here is Merritt going off the 5 meter...he is that blur entering the water! Gav went off the 7.5 meter and is talking about doing the 10 meter when his teacher lets him. Yikes!
Ian had his very first soccer game on Saturday! I coached my very first soccer game on Saturday!
We were both tired afterwards! Merritt and Gav had their first games of the season this weekend, too, as well as lacrosse practice. And yet, we still found time to do some fun yard work, have friends over for a fire and outdoor movie, and I got to go to a Taylor Swift concert with a friend and her daughter and her daughter's friend. It was a great show, but I left slightly deaf and so very thankful that I have boys. Lucked out on that one!
We finished up our little project in the back. Still looking for the perfect comfy chairs, though.
We are looking forward to some fall weather and more fun, full weekends!
