For the third year in a row, we have enjoyed the annual Toys for Tots Rides for Toys day at one of the Fire Stations here in Durham. Everyone knows my fascination (OK, infatuation) with firemen. They have this dangerous, scary job and yet they are the biggest teddy bears when kids are around.
This year was especially great because Merritt was into it, too. The boys each brought a new toy to donate, and then received a fire truck ride. A bonus of having 2 boys - David and I both got to ride, too, and so we ended up having our own private family fire truck tour. It rocked.
