Gavin's class had their Japan party today to celebrate all that they learned about Japan and its culture. Alison watched Merritt for me, so I had the special opportunity of joining in the festivities. It was so neat - and the kids have learned so much. Gavin's teachers are amazing about tying everything together and making every experience special and meaningful, and the host moms did a fantastic job of creating the classroom and meal into a true Japanese feast.
The day had kimonos, sushi, chopsticks, and many other Japanese touches that transported the kids into a different world - so special!
