A very special week of kindergarten!

This week was so very special for Merritt. His class worked hard on their lines for their play, Peter Rabbit. My little rabbit shared the part of Peter Rabbit with his buddy Will. It was amazing how well each and every one of them did. They all had their lines memorized as well as the timing and blocking of the scenes. And they all helped make the scenery. Oh - and remember the top of Big Ben? Here it is on the tower, made by Merritt and his classmates. The past few weeks they have been studying England, and Peter Rabbit and Big Ben were just a few fun parts of their studies.

G and Bean were in the audience, along with all the parents & grandparents, and the rest of the preschool and kindergarten classes. No pressure!

Here is the class, after the play. Encore! It was wonderful!

The 2 Peters and their Kate...I love that each of them is missing a tooth! I would also like to note that Merritt had the exact same part in the play that Gavin had.
A little birdie told me that M had requested it...

Thursday was the celebration of the end of their England unit...with a formal English tea party! This just might be my favorite school party ever. It is so different than anything they are used to, and the kids embrace it! Here is Merritt all dressed up and ready for school. He was so PUMPED.
This is his "pretend you are smiling at Kate" smile.

The teachers and the party moms did a fabulous job setting the mood and preparing the food.

Each of the boys escorted a girl into the classroom, helped them find their seat, pulled their chair out for them, and helped them take their seat. There were sweet and also hilarious moments.

Here is Mrs. V serving up some veggies....
...and Mrs. H serving some potato chips off a silver platter.
 Such a special day!!!!
