Our birthday season (!) wrapped up on Thursday with Gavin's 11th birthday!! We spread the festivities out over a couple days since school was in full swing.
He started out the morning of his birthday with a pile of donut holes and scrambled eggs.
He still thinks it is pretty great to go to school on his birthday.
It's good to be with his friends and it is still cool to take in treats to his advisory (caramel bars).
The evening of his birthday, we had Ian's kindergarten Parents' Night, so Brenda treated Gavin to dinner at Nana's (his favorite restaurant). He enjoyed crab cakes and pan-seared Branzini. Below is his dessert...peach tart with crystallized ginger ice cream. I am so jealous.
The next night Daddy cooked a birthday meal for him, which included steak and scallops on the grill. It gets harder to pick presents for these boys as they get older, but the one constant is their love of food - something we all enjoy experimenting with!
Happy birthday Gavin, our little foodie, soccer playing, lacrosse obsessed guy!
