The start of this traditionally somber day was absolutely stunning. A true North Carolina spring day in every aspect. The shining sun, the warm breeze, and the happy children all seemed like little gifts. The boys and I met David at Duke Gardens for lunch (with the rest of North Carolina, I think), and enjoyed welcoming back the wisteria and sprawling out on the lawn to eat a yummy take-out meal from Fosters.
Our yearly pics with the wisteria. . .
It doesn't seem surprising at the end of this Good Friday that the sky is prematurely dark and there is a low rumble of thunder. Thankfully, in every way, this Easter weekend holds promise and sunshine, and we hope yours does too!
