Ian, meet your partners in crime.

Today Ian learned a few life lessons. Such as, mommy takes a lot of pictures. And Gavin can be quite possessive of things he loves (such as Ian). And Merritt likes to say 'eyeball' while actually touching the referred to eyeball.

But, introductions went very well and both boys were instantly enamored with their little brother. I was amazed how Merritt walked right in, looked past me into the bassinet and said "Ian!". He just knew, and that was really cool. We all enjoyed some Guglehupf treats that they brought me, and Gavin presented me with a very sweet picture that says "I loved Ian before he was born. I'm happy you got a baby." Then he asked me where his prize was (a few weeks ago he reminded me that Merritt brought him a present when he was born. . .). The visit went well, and then there reached a moment where David and I looked at each other and laughingly said "Visit Over!" Maybe it was the 5 year old spinning around on the stool. Or the 2 year old almost falling off the birthing bed. Or the pastry crumbs covering the floor and the little handprints all over the window. But it all made me smile, because this is our life now with
THREE BOYS!
