Dirty boys.

When my parents were here, my mom and I walked the boys to a local park. My heart sank a bit when we turned the corner to see all the play equipment surrounded by a moat and standing water under all the swings, slides, etc. Because, as you remember, my boys are mud magnets. Suddenly a trip to the park would involve baths and laundry immediately afterwards. But. . .

Silly me.
My boys didn't make it to the park. Ever. They were too distracted by the driveway full of mudpuddles.

This glimmer is like gold to these boys.

They spent over an hour throwing rocks,
splashing, digging, laughing, creating, and getting dirty.

And with Grandma's help, they built a dam across the biggest mudpuddle.
And afterwards, we went home to warm baths, laundry, and hot chocolate. Priceless.
