ready for Santa!

This morning we baked and decorated sugar cookies for Santa. Hope he has been resting his pancreas since last Christmas. This year this process was so much…easier! With another year under our belt, these boys are pretty self-sufficient (and yes, Merritt does have pants on). Each boy used cookie cutters to produce their favorite shapes, and the littles even did some dishes for me.

This is what sugar looks like when it hits the bloodstream.

We went to a Christmas Eve service tonight with friends, and since David is working, I decided to take the boys for chinese food, because no one does that on Christmas Eve, right? If you are laughing right now, then you know the truth. These smiles are because after 45 minutes of waiting, we actually had a seat and our food was ordered. Who knew?
Now the boys are tucked in, our tree is sparkling in the corner, and I am looking forward to the 5 of us relaxing around the tree in the morning, slowly unwrapping presents and savoring the morning. If you are laughing right now, then you know the truth…! At least about the slow and savor part!
We're all ready, Santa!
