Merry Christmas everyone! The long-awaited morning finally came! This morning was filled with excitement and gratitude and love (and lots of little pieces of wrapping paper and more than a few cups of coffee...). I am most thankful that aside from the presents and cheer, my boys understand and treasure what today is really about. It has been a beautiful advent season, lighting our candles one by one and pausing to remind ourselves of darkness turned to Light.
Ah, the calm before the wrapping paper storm.
My obligate picture-before-the-boys-come-downstairs.
This too, I treasure.
Because soon enough, they do come down the stairs. This year's reaction by the Bean was priceless.
Love this picture - for some reason I have an addiction for outside-looking-in pictures.
It is the icing on the cake that Arlo seems to be looking at the reflection of his youthful Christmas pasts.
My men. Love 'em (and oh what a trooper daddy is, going to bed after work at 3am and being alert at 8am for presents).
So much happy.
Apparently Aunt Carrie nailed it this year!
All season long, this guy insisted on asking for only one thing...one really awesome thing.
Best part? He didn't think there was any way he was going to get it... Merry Christmas G!
My little fisherman. Can't wait to take some pictures of him using this pole!
Brenda and Cheryl came over for a festive Christmas breakfast and present exchange.
Love them, too!
We have a full day ahead of us of game-playing, lego-assembling, movie-watching, and seafood bisque-making (yummy!!). Hope every one of you has a warm and fuzzy Christmas.
You are each a gift in our lives!
