Although the real Arbor Day isn't until April 25th, Gavin is in the spirit of tree planting. While weeding with Cheryl a few weeks ago, they rescued this young pine tree and made a home for it on our porch. Gavin is very proud of his seedling and promptly made it a sign (I especially like his drawing of the tree - very accurate!). He keeps it watered (with leftover water from our drinking cups, of course!) and talks about where he is going to plant it. We decided it is safest on our porch, away from lawn mowers and Arlo, though.
