A week in review

He had his buddy Isaac over for a sleepover last night, and as you can see from the pic below, the boys enjoyed supper on the front porch. As I was cleaning the house yesterday, Gavin said, "Why are you cleaning before Isaac comes over? We are just going to mess it up!". Hmmmm. That sounded a lot like a challenge. So, from the moment we got home at 3:30 until their bath time at 6:30, they played outside. :) It wasn't like they were locked out or anything, they were having good honest fun in the sand! As you can see, Merritt was loving it, too (yes, again, I forgot the bib).

Merritt is in love with his feet, started to crawl, and also pulls himself easily onto his knees, usually to reach something he shouldn't. His crawl is much more efficient in reverse, which gets him into all sorts of problems in his crib (backed into the corner, legs stuck between slats, etc.), but he has actually hit it into forward a few times and amazed us all. He says da-da for Daddy, ga-ga for Gavin, and does a grunting woof for the dog. For me, nothing. But his smiles are all I need!
David was super-daddy today and hung out with the boys while mommy escaped for pedicure and lunch with friends. . .boy did mommy need that!
Merritt's sleep schedule is a little wacky at times, some days he decides that naps aren't on his agenda, as was the case in this video, taken during a very sleepy suppertime.
