Mealtimes have become considerably messier these days since Merritt has learned to spit. There are a multitude of poor parenting judgements in this video, starting with me forgetting to put a bib on him. If you have the volume on, you will also hear me laughing at his spitting and then later scolding Gavin for laughing at his spitting. Maybe we should always have 'playback mode' as parents, to realize where we are really messing up. OK, maybe not.
Meanwhile, Gavin continues to be adventurous at mealtimes and eats almost anything we present him with. At breakfast, however, he seems to be following in Daddy's footsteps. . .observe the pic below (David's finished plate on left and Gavin's finished plate on right. . .). Sigh - like father, like son.
