What a big day!
We celebrated a nice Father's Day weekend (. . .we hope he agrees!), gifting David with goodies for his new grill and cooking him breakfast yesterday morning, and then giving him a 'get out of jail free' card for spending all of today playing in a golf tournament! He deserves a break, though, and he is a great daddy!

THEN, it was Happy Birthday Merritt! The cul-de-sac crew joined us in celebrating the big '2' with Merritt this evening, complete with pizza and very bright cupcakes.
He blew the candles out perfectly!
And made up for last year's fear of the cupcake by unabashedly diving into his neon yellow frosting.
Buddy Alex chose the green.

Time for presents!
Gavin gave Merritt a baseball glove and ball (surprised?).
We missed them at the party, but John and Alison brought over their messy/loud present later (we love you too!). How many months until Joshua is 2. . .?

I noticed those cupcakes were in John Deere green and yellow. Do we have another John Deere guy?
