Scenes from Christmas day, 2012

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
Santa came! The cookies are gone!
Lots of treasures awaited us this morning!

And Santa got the letter from our Elf!!!! Merritt got his dragons!!!!

For the past 2 months all Ian has talked about getting from Santa was a 'remote control monster'. We were hoping Santa could figure that one out. In the flurry of unwrapping and unnoticed by David and I, Ian found all the presents with 'Ian' on the tag and started unwrapping at warp speed. Suddenly, we heard his sweet little voice exclaim, "MY REMOTE CONTROL MONSTER!!!!" Whew!

Our boys love their gifts tagged for "the boys"...this was their last present to open and Merritt declared before unwrapping it that it was their marble run...another "whew!" Santa brought the marble run.
He is so intuitive (I am actually referencing Merritt and Santa there).
 One happy lax player...
 The happy aftermath.
Not only did Merritt get dragons, but the dragons got a castle...
...and this was the face I made a lot during the 2 hours it took me to assemble the castle, which apparently was manufactured by IKEA's evil and not-so-articulate cousin.
Our ultra-cool marble run...assembled by post-call David. Most impressive!
Wishing you clear instructional manuals, fair play, and a good night's rest!
Ho-ho-ho!
