"Ian"dependence Day Celebration

On the 4th of July, our cul-de-sac threw us a baby shower/4th of July celebration, hosted by Brenda and Cheryl. We celebrated our nation's birthday as well as the hopefully soon Independence of Ian from my womb. Everyone prepared yummy food and gave us sweet gifts. As a grand finale, we lit sparklers in the backyard. I was ready to go home and start laboring, but obviously Ian didn't get the message.

Did I mention the yummy food. . .?

. . .and the awesome Coldstone Creamery cake?!?!

Gavin was a BIG fan of the sparklers (BIG surprise, right?).

Merritt thought they were pretty cool, too.

Everyone got in on the action!

A snapshot of the sweet gifts we were given. Thank you cul-de-sac family! It does take a village!
